To address the problem of an existing building that was too small to accommodate the hospital’s growing outpatient cancer program, Posen Architects designed a seven-story addition to the Dickstein Cancer Treatment Center. The new facility satisfies the hospital’s increased capacity and provides an effective plan to satisfy future growth. The new 38,000 sf building is connected to the existing Dickstein structure, which was also renovated from top to bottom. The first floor offers an expanded reception, patient navigators, spa and retail amenities, meeting rooms, and administrative offices. A new, satellite 797-certified cancer program pharmacy is located on the lower level; floors two through four contain medical oncology physician offices; and floors five and six house surgical physician offices.
