The unoccupied fourth floor Thomas Wing of Good Samaritan Hospital, in Suffern, NY was demolished and renovated for a new Orthopedic Unit, including fourteen new Patient Rooms, a physical therapy area, and supporting staff spaces. The total area of work is approximately 10,500 SF.
Each Orthopedic Patient Room is designed for single occupancy with private patient toilet and roll in shower. The staff and the non-restricted areas of the unit include the clerk/greeter area, family lounge, dining/pre-op classroom, staff lounge and physical therapy area. Support spaces include: nurse manager office, nurse station, nourishment and medication rooms, soiled utility and clean supply rooms and a team room.
