Brookdale Community College Wellness Center and Gorman Hall

Wellness Center

“In the words of David Stout, President of Brookdale Community College, The Wellness Center will be a welcoming place where Brookdale students and community members of Monmouth County can come to learn about and connect with Social Services offered throughout Monmouth County, Physical and Mental Health, as well as, focusing on programs related to Social Justice. The Wellness Center will be for all to use as a resource for the needs and well-being of our students, employees, and Monmouth County residents as a whole.”

Gorman Hall

The project encompasses a full adaptive reuse of Gorman Hall South, an approximately 6,000 SF one story facility that was lying dormant for the last several years and had fallen into disrepair. The Brookdale Community College IT department will now utilize the building to house their cyber security curriculum. The building is comprised of two (2) classrooms for instruction, one with a control center, areas to foster collaboration, and faculty office support. The existing wood cathedral ceilings were retained, and the suspended lighting fixtures are configured to mimic integrated circuit boards, thereby conveying the building’s high-tech function.
