Campus Wide ADA Study
Montclair, NJ
Located on a bluff overlooking the New York City Skyline, the university’s campus features several topographical issues that impact ADA accessibility. Posen Architects was commissioned to prepare a Campus Wide Accessibility Study to identify areas and site conditions that do not meet the requirements of the Barrier Free building code provisions as well as the American with Disabilities Act. The team conducted site visits to observe and photograph accessibility issues including access routes to building entry/egress points of twenty buildings on campus. This data was compiled in graphic form and the Posen prepared budget/scope recommendations to support the University’s Strategic Planning process.
