What is your role at Posen?
I consider myself the ultimate “utility player” at the firm and am involved in all phases of a project. Because I have a deep understanding of building codes, I am also the firm’s Director of Code Compliance, something I enjoy because it allows be to be involved in all of our projects.

Who or what inspired you to become an Architect?
One day in junior high, I just decided that’s what I wanted to do.

If you were not an Architect, what would your alternate career be?
Maybe advertising. I took advertising/marketing courses as electives in college and really enjoyed learning how subliminal messaging and target marketing can impact the purchasing process.

What do you believe is your most valuable trait as an Architect?
I can envision projects and details in multiple dimensions very easily. Understanding how things go together and are built is very helpful in the design process.

The ability to obtain any superpower I need at the moment.

What’s your favorite season and why?
I like the time of year when the weather is not extremely hot or cold. I call them “Sprall” and “Fing”.

What’s your most prized possession and why?
My ability to be aware. Seeing people go through dementia and Alzheimer’s is the worst thing.
