Can you tell us more about your interior design experience?
My work spans a broad range of industries, including healthcare, workplace environments for pharmaceutical and financial services companies, and hospitality. I have designed outpatient centers, executive suites, and corporate amenity spaces such as work cafes, fitness centers and public lobbies.
What inspired you to be an interior designer?
I’ve always been very artistic, so I wanted a profession that is expressed in a creative way. I was drawn specifically to interior design because it is the intersection of the artistic and technical aspects of design.
What do you find most fulfilling about your career?
A successful design project provides an environment where people can excel and thrive. It is very exciting and fulfilling to walk through a completed space and to see the enthusiasm of the people experiencing it.
Has the industry changed since you started your career, and if so, how?
Today there is more emphasis on sustainable design and construction. The industry continues to innovate in developing materials and products with improved energy efficiency and reduced environmental impact. In addition, clients are also expressing an increasing interest in incorporating sustainable practices into their buildings.
