Lori joined Posen Architects as a part-time designer in 1996, the year the firm was founded. She quickly helped grow the practice working on corporate, tenant fit-up and healthcare project assignments. Ten hours a week became 20; which increased to 30 and then 40 — and more. The part-time interior designer became full-time, then Director of Design and, eventually, Interior Design Principal. Lori has been the creative driver of the work of the firm for many years. A uniquely talented designer and incredibly fast planner, she also has an intuitive sense of color, materials and stylistic balance. The work emanates from both her mind and heart and skillfully fulfills its functional requirements while elevating the human experience.
As Posen Architects celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2026, Lori is concluding her 30 years of practice and will be officially retiring at the end of 2025. Lori’s influence in the firm has been profound: blending her design talent with leadership, mentoring, volunteerism and relationship building with clients. Her efforts were always completed with the highest regard for client satisfaction. A competitively awarded Lori Klein Design Excellence Prize has been established at Kean University, Michael Graves School of Interior Design in her honor.
Please join the firm in recognizing her incredibly long and successful career and in wishing her and her growing family the very best in 2026 and the years to come.
